Code for residential buildings that creates minimum regulations for one- and two-family dwellings of three stories or less. It brings together all building, plumbing, mechanical, fuel gas, energy and electrical provisions for one- and two-family residences. One such organization is the International Code Council (ICC), an organization responsible for the International Building Code (IBC) and the International Residential Code (IRC). These codes govern commercial and residential building and remodeling practices, respectively, and are the basis for most local code regulations. The 2015 INTERNATIONAL FUEL GAS CODE SOFT COVER sets forth requirements that address the design and installation of fuel gas systems and gas-fired appliances, based on the most current information and technology available. In this updated code, the section on protection of piping has been completely rewritten, and readers are informed that line regulators installed in rigid piping must have a union installed to allow removal of the regulator.
